Started in 1957 and still in the hands of the same family; one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Cape Town. All the veal dishes are great and the fish dishes are always fresh!
Best kept secret in Cape Town. Possibly some of the best meals ever to be had here. Wonderful ambiance and friendly service. Full of locals....
Naples was the capital of the Kingdom of Naples in Italy, and as such was infused with a wide variety of dishes from the whole Campania region. A large variety of these dishes were influenced from the local Italian aristocratic cuisine with elaborate preparations, of which the Pizzeria Napoletana, still today, strives to maintain in freshness, taste and tradition.
Opening their doors in 1957, the Pizzeria Napoletana is one of the oldest restaurants in Cape Town, South Africa. After stepping on South African soil direct from Italy, the owners Luigi and Maria Barletta wanted to offer their new country a taste of the traditional Italian Neapolitan culture; and still today the family restaurant stands strong offering the same quality cuisine as it did those many years ago.
